In late February 2020, AFE Sports completed Phase 2 of a 7 soccer field park at Whitsett Park in Los Angeles, California.
AFE Sports was the general contractor on the Whitsett Park project, which was part of an awarded $4 million contract with Los Angeles Parks and Recreation. The project duration lasted 12 months, and AFE Sports services included design build, demolition, grading, drainage, landscape, lighting, prefabricated restrooms, PDD and asphalt paving.
The 153,000 square foot soccer field boasts AstroTurf’s 3DS 60 synthetic turf system. AstroTurf designed this turf system specifically to spec for Los Angeles Park and Recreation. This will provide the city with a high-performance playing surface that the local communities can enjoy!
